BuddyPress community builders have been busy creating some beautiful sites. Before the eagerly-awaited BuddyPress 1.2 is released in late January, we wanted to show our readers more exciting examples of what is possible with this ever-evolving platform. VW’s TankWars is a site that uses WordPress with BuddyPress added so that drivers can keep track of their best mileage score and rankings, as well as upload photos, vote on profiles, and leave comments.

Hello Eco Living
Hello Eco Living is a site where users can connect and swap ideas with others interested in the environment, health and wellbeing, and many related interests.

Another cool edition of inspirational design.. I like the Irrational Games site the most. Especially how they used the Achievements plugin!

We started building Hello Eco Living for Laura and Chris back in Summer ‘09; several BuddyPress upgrades later the full release of the site has now gone live.
