One day you are warning people of the dangers of free themes
filled with spammy links – the next you are promoting themes filled with spammy links?
There are some good themes in here – please remove the rotten apples.
And the rotten ones would be? Please spare others the work and report your findings, though I must admit that you have a point.
Please report any spammy links you find. So far the only rotten apple is your comment ;) A far as I know, none of these have malicious code in them.
great post as always sarah! these are excellent themes. however, charlie is right about the spammy links. I found in the footer.php of bluitos references to viagra and cialis sites. there are some weird eval lines in the functions.php as well. keep up with your great work!
Thanks nobluff for letting me know :) I’ve replaced it with another theme. We’re very amenable, just didn’t hunt through the code of all of these as they are mostly from trusted sources.

Thanks for the more specific info. We’ve removed the simplewpthemes ones due to the advertising links they include inside the theme files and have replaced them in the list with other free themes.
Are any of these compatible with BuddyPress? I would love a free Buddypress theme that actually looks nice. Haha, but I guess beggers cant be choosers.
