PayPal gives you links for email and other uses, but a popup shopping cart could be useful.

Seems interesting. Why dont you pop a link in a comment as a reply here so our readers can check it out.

Thanks.

Thanks for the note ben, that looks like a handy plugin. I'll check it out in more detail, maybe do a separate write up on it.

If you don't mind I would like to point your readers also to Santu buy now buttons, which are compatible with PayPal. Instead of lengthy code they are based on simple links such as http://oranges.santu.com.

These can be added to text or images, just like any other link, of course, giving you a lot of design freedom. They will work like a buy now button or link wherever used.

You can even add an integrated pop-up shopping cart WordPress websites by adding a simple line of code.

A big advantage of these buy now buttons is that because they are based on simple links you can use them anywhere, ranging from blogs to websites, SMS, chats and more.

Nice clear tutorial. Can I suggest rather than pasting the PayPal code directly into the HTML of the page or post, especially if using multiple PayPal buttons on the same page/post, that you use the Global Contents Block plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/global-content-blocks/) to create a shortcode for each button and then add the shortcode to the page/post instead?

This will prevent any issues if the editor strips out code, or variables changing by themselves to unique values if pasting in code for multiple buttons.
