This plugin allows a site admin to create & manage a list of blog topics. When new blogs are created, the blog owner will need to pick a topic for the blog, which can be changed via the blog owner via an admin screen. Code includes a widget to display the current blog’s topic, and an optional linked list of “n” blogs within the site that share the same topic. Additional code is included to display a linked list of all used topics, and all blogs by topic id.
Code available here.

Thanks for the submission Deanna :)
A WPMU admin’s dream…thanks Deanna!
I’m a bit confused. Is this something like a Blog Category?
Boonika – yes, it’s sort of like a Blog category. It’s a category (I used the term “topic” so as to not confuse it with post categories) that’s relevant to the blog itself, instead of to a post or page.
Wow! Thank’s alot DeannaS :D
Cool! Will try it out.
It’s me again:)
Thank You SO MUCH for this plugin. That’s all.
thx .. great plugin .. but how can i add a tag clud or a list of all avaliable topics(linked to a list of each topic blogs
MazZzika – There’s code in the additional files – front-page.php has code that will pull a linked list of all the available topics, and when you click on one of those, it’ll take you to blogtopics.php, which is a list of all blogs by a certain topic.
The widget will also display the topic of the current blog, and a linked list of other blogs identified by the same topic.
I’m currently working on an additional widget that displays a list of recent posts from blogs with the same topic and/or code that could be used in a custom page to display all the topics with their recent posts.
i try to view front-page .. it give me this error
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /*****/wp-content/themes/themefoldername/front_page.php on line 7
and it will be great if u make anywhere(including widgets) topics titles linked to all blogs in this topic
I am just wondering if I can exclude the main blog somehow as I don’t want the main blog included in any topics as that seems the logical thing to me.
What is your opinion?
is’nt use on blogspot?
Indungg – I’m not sure what you’re asking…

This will definately help keep track of things. I’ve started a MU site on a whim and have found administration can be a bit overwelming at first. Thanks for the plugin,
Jon V.
Hi. I on numerous occasions scan this forum. This is the oldest culture unequivocal to ask a query.
How multitudinous in this forum are references progressive behind, knavish users?
Can I bank all the advice that there is?
Excellent! I’m going to try it out.
Thanks.
I am trying to figure out the best Wordpress Plugins and widgets that will help to optimize a site for Google. If you have any good ones that you recommend, I’d love to know about them.
This is an interesting plugin. I will try it on my site.
I still dont quite get the difference between Topic and Category but I’ll give it a test run, I’m sure I just have to see it to understand it.
It is really a great plugin and script. The blog topics categorization is very important.
This is too awesome, I need to get on this for my wordpress sites!
Wow, that’s totally cool. I too want to get one for my blogs. thanks for sharing Deanna.cheers
I heard that a lot of MU plugins are unstable at times due to the nature of the software, any issues with this one?
