  1. just tried it out, didn’t seem to work for my custom BP theme. i’d love to see some plugin options – it looks like a great solution and alternative to the standard admin bar! maybe i’ll adapt it on my own… if i get it to work well i’ll share my results with you.

  3. Since BP runs on the main site, that’s where it works. No plans to make it run across sub-sites, but you can always hack that in yourself if you’d like to.

    Stephen, please post your problem in the forums and maybe you can get a workaround that will work with your theme. A specific description of your issue would be helpful. Thanks!

  6. Just tried this on my website, I’m using Private Buddypress plugin as I need my Buddypress install to be password protected. I get the default WP login panel, but your panel appears once I have logged in. As admin, there is no shortcut for the WP Dashboard, is that something I can add easily?

  8. Sarah, Thanks for this great plug-in and the update…i did modify the php to hide the friends request section altogether and just provide a link to the tab on bp user profile instead, but now i can enable it :) was waiting for this update from some time!

  9. Hey Sarah. I saved my previous update-content file and upgraded the plugin. Then I just overrode the new update-content file with the old one. Was that the right thing to do? Because I’m still getting ghost friend requests.. And that too from people I added 2 months ago.

  10. Gayatri – Ghost friend requests were fixed in the update-content.php file, so you’ll need to use the new one. But save your old one in case you made some template or design changes in there that you will want to copy into the new file.

  13. Frank – Thanks! Yes, it’s easy to add the connect via FB to the panel. Just take the widget or button code for the FB connect plugin you’re using and paste it into update-content.php under the login box.

  14. Hello Sarah. I got a problem with the plugin. I installed and copied the code “define( ‘BP_DISABLE_ADMIN_BAR’, true );” in wp-config.php file, and the plugin is working ok but the Sliding Login Panel appears behind the BP menú, not over it. How can I fix it? This is the site: http://www.crativos.net. Thanks… I’ll apreciate a lot your help, I’m new in this.

  16. I am trying to install the Buddy Press sliding login panel with wordpress theme:
    no luck. did all you told me:
    1. changed header.php of the theme (named magazine flow) under the body – <body

    2. changed wp-config.php, added define( ‘BP_DISABLE_ADMIN_BAR’, true );
    3. acticated the plugin…

    does not work, missed anything…any clue would help, cause its exactly what I am looking for…!

    • Sara, followed those instruction. still no work. Other plugin, iRedlof, works but destroys the web site, when user looged in, or log out. Also, the dashboard apear when I am logged as admin…some suggested that the jquery is the problem…no idea..tips? i really want it to work
