Download the plugin for free from the WordPress repository. The next step is to choose “Honeypot” from the Generate Tag dropdown within your contact form. Change the Honeypot ID and insert the generated tag anywhere in your form. Click save and you’re set!

Contact form 7 can use Akismet THE anti spam plugin. This way Akismet filters comment spam and contact form spam. This is a very clean solution. No spam and no need for other ugly solutions that bother your visitors with captha’s or extra fields that can confuse them.
McBart – Please note that the honeypot is invisible to regular users. They don’t see any extra fields. It’s hidden by CSS and only visible to the bots.
@Sarah. That makes sense. But, the people behind spambots can easily adapt there scripts to avoid these hidden honeypot fields. I think Aksimet is by far the better solution, it’s much harder to trick.
