P2 is a very popular WordPress micro-blogging theme with an increasing number of add-ons. Ryan Imel recently created a new plugin called P2 Check In that adds “check in” capabilities to the P2 theme. It comes with a “Who is Checked In” widget that you can add to your sidebar.
The P2 Check In plugin also adds a “Log In/I’m here!/I’m leaving!” button to your P2 theme’s header, making it easy for users to check in or check out.
