Daily Tip: Annoyed With the “Uncategorized” WordPress Category? Rename it!

Every WordPress blogger is acquainted with the default Uncategorized category, where posts go when you forget to assign them a more descriptive category. WordPress does not allow you to delete this category. However, one option is to rename it to something a little more professional-sounding, such as “Other” or “Posts” or whatever you like, so that you never have to see that unfriendly “Uncategorized” category name again. It’s simple. Go to Posts >> Categories >> and the Edit the Uncategorized category and change the slug, if you want to.
