I’ve used this on my WordPress sites, including multisite networks, for years and it’s the best plugin for simple embedding of video and audio files that you can:

…and this shortcode for MP3 audio audios:

The numbers you see after your video or audio file url are the display dimensions. So in the video example, I made the display size 480 by 368 and in the MP3 file, I simply made the height 20 pixels. Try it out for yourself, it’s groovy:

Hi Seth Czerepak, When we checked the plugin page, we are getting the message as ” This plugin hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.”, so shall we use this plugin or any other alternative plugin, please list some alternatives too.

Hi Subash, if there were alternatives I certainly would have listed them. This is the only plugin I know if which does this. I’ve not had a problem with it yet. If the compatibility with future WordPress versions is a concern, I suggest having a programmer update it for you, it’s not that expensive.
