Daily Tip: Highlight Admin, Mod, Friends’ Posts in BuddyPress Group Forums

A new feature has been added to Rich Fuller’s BuddyPress Group Forum Extras plugin. You can now highlight topics and posts for user levels (group admin, group mod, banned, friend, follow, mine) using CSS. Many users have asked for a way to do this and now it’s here. The ability to theme topics and posts based on user levels adds more context to your BuddyPress group forum conversations. If you have extremely active forums, highlighting friend/follow posts or the user’s own posts can make it much more readable. This feature comes packaged as a sub-plugin with BuddyPress Group Forum Extras and requires BuddyPress v1.2.5.
