How to Create Unlimited Test Accounts on Your WordPress Site With the Same Email Address

Here’s a handy tip sent to me by Sue Waters of Edublogs.org. When working with WordPress sites, you often have need of creating a few different users in order to test out the registration process or some new functionality on the site.

The best way to do this, if you have a Gmail account, is to use the Gmail+ method for making new users.

Here’s how it works:

Gmail ignores everything after the plus sign. However, WordPress assumes that these are different email addresses. Therefore, you can create unlimited accounts on your site using the same Gmail address, ie:

[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

All of these will be seen as unique addresses by your WordPress site.

Instead of exhausting all of your email addresses and having to log into different accounts, try the Gmail+ method.
