Here’s a quick tip: If you want to add an extra layer of security, you can change the author slug to be a sanitized version of the user’s display name by installing and activating the WP Author Slug plugin. This extra security measure on can prevent possible hackers from determining your login name by looking at the author archive URLs.

This all depends upon how the theme is designed. In my own theme framework (Elemental from prothemedesign.com :)) it uses the name the user selects in the user control panel.

BTW – you have a lot of ‘stuff’ on your post pages now. It’s really hard to find the actual content around all of the social widgets and competitions! I had to scroll through a screen full of stuff before I got to the comments. :(
