Show Off the Traffic on Your WordPress Site

Are you proud of the numbers you’re getting on your WordPress blog? The Simple Traffic Widget is a plugin that will show off some simple stats in your sidebar or footer, including page views, number of hits, unique visitors, and number of people online now.

Install and activate it and then you can drag and drop the traffic widget into any widgetized area. Every time you visit your site you’ll be able to see a quick summary of your traffic, without having to log into analytics.

When you configure the widget you can choose which stats to display and customize each of the labels:

The plugin’s developer plans to add the ability to display traffic stats in the dashboard in the future as well as some different design/layout options. Download the Simple Traffic Widget from the WordPress plugin repository.

    • It really depends on what kind of site it is. If it’s a personal blog or something just for a hobby, then lower numbers don’t matter so much. If it’s a business or social network then maybe you’d want to wait until the traffic is really pumping.
