A lot of clients at Edublogs Campus wanted to have the facility to drop in their own stats / tracking code into every blog – without going near FTP – and so we developed for them with this handy global footer plugin that allows them to do just that.
It’s quite straightforward, this gives you a box in your site admin > options area where you can paste in javascript, html or any other code that you’d like to be slotted into the footer of every blog.
You could even use it to link to or promote your site!
Installation is simple, just drop the plugin into mu-plugins and then enter the content that you want dropped into every blog down the page in site admin > options.
Just like this:

Hopefully this’ll take the strain out of it for WPMU DEV Premium members too!

I’m using my own plugin for this:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/generic-stats/
I didn’t code it for WP-MU, but it seems to work. It adds stats to the header or footer, with the option of not tracking admins.
(Yes, I AM planning on update it sometime soon so it’s not so ugly :-) )
so i dont understand why you built a plugin. the footer is editable on all pages. there are not sooo many pages to edit. its not a big deal to insert the code manually.
Wow! What an ingenious idea. Can this also be developed for other sites? Any tips will really be appreciated.

What are the other interesting features of this plug-in? Is this plug-in easy to install?
