How to Monetize Your WordPress Posts with 1 Easy-To-Use Plugin

Need to earn more ad revenues from your WordPress site?

Domains and bandwidth aren’t cheap. Popular WordPress sites can get costly and fast. Most of us spend tens upon tens of hours writing posts and pages, making our themes work properly, and setting up a myriad of plugins just to make certain our visitors have the best experience possible. To make up for your time invested in creating a  great site, adding another layer of monetization is a good idea.

A great way to do this is by placing ads on your site, and there’s a free WordPress plugin that makes that simple.

With Ad Injection, you can start making money off of your WordPress sites. When you install the plugin, you will have the option to control where ads show up, adjust their placement, and integrate with Google Adsense and other ad providers.

Step 1: Install the Plugin

This is easily done. Ad Injection can be found by clicking Plugins -> Add New and searching for Ad Injection. Just install and activate, and you will have access to the plugin.

Step 2: Configuring the Plugin

Ad Injection is found under Settings. Don’t worry, the plugin starts with Ads enabled, but nothing will happen until you add your ads.

For now, Turn Ad Injection to Off. You’ll reactivate it later, but you don’t want rogue ads appearing on your page until you’re done setting it up.

To get started, click Quick Start at the top of the Settings – > Ad Injection page. This will give you a walkthrough on how to activate your ads on the page. Before you launch your ads, here is a checklist of things you want to go over before you make it live.

The plugin will walk you through the process step by step, so make sure you pay close attention to what it tells you.

In short, you need to do the following steps to successfully launch your ads:

  • Acquire Ad Codes from your providers (IE, AdSense)
  • Copy Code into Appropriate Box
  • Choose number of Ads to be Displayed
  • Enable Ads on Pages you want them Enabled on
  • Confirm Insertion Mode
  • Test your Ads using the Settings – Ad Injection -> Test Adverts and Templates page
  • Enable Ad Injection at the top of the Settings page

Remember, Ad Injection will not filter the ads for you. If you want to control the types of ads showing on your pages, you need to do that through your ad manager.
