WPMU DEV has been releasing quite a few exciting plugins to the WordPress community over the past couple months, and we’re happy to announce BuddyPress Activity Plus. It was created to provide the same ease that Facebook has when it comes to uploading and sharing media across the network.
BuddyPress Activity Plus adds three new buttons to your activity stream, giving users the opportunity to quickly share photos, videos and links.

Here’s a quick overview of the features in action:
Photos and Galleries:
Upload a photo (or multiple photos) directly from your computer to the activity stream:

Add Links from any website:
Add links directly to the activity stream. Embedding a link also allows you to choose a thumbnail image from a list of images on the site’s homepage:

Embed Videos:
Embed videos from popular sites such as Youtube and Vimeo by copying the link and pasting it into the update box.

The great news is that you won’t have to worry about theme compatibility, as this plugin works perfectly with any theme based on the BuddyPress Default theme. Users are already familiar with the way Facebook allows you to paste in media to share, and this plugin makes that process very intuitive. Keep your BuddyPress site pumping with rich media content by adding BuddyPress Activity Plus today.

Looks interesting but it fails to show up with the buddyboss theme. Is there a potential conflict with oEmbed plugin for buddypress or the wall plugin?
I must have done something wrong. The plugin is available when using IE and a different user account.
All images show up as blank or not at all, videos and links however seems to work. If I right-click on the blank image (In Opera) and select “open image in new tab” I’m able to see the image. What’s the problem?
Hiya folks,
Thanks for your feedback here. The best route to get support for any issue (which we’ll happily troubleshoot as best we’re able) would be to login to the wordpress forums here:

but need for more, mybe usings a tabs is good
my multiple image uploads are stacking up underneath each other, is there a way to get them to stack side by side..?
Did you find a solution to your problem ?
Did either of you figure this out??
Hello,
Thank you very much for your plugin and your blog ! Very usefull.
I tried that plugin (activity plus).
I don’t know why (I tried several time by installing correctly WordPress and Buddypress) but when i upload some pictures there are not aligned like you did above. For me, there are one above the other.
What’s wrong ? CSS problem ?
Thank you very much,
Mathieu
Nobody ?
It’s very important for me to find a solution. I don’t know what’s happen. The installation is virgin, I didn’t change anything. I’ve just installed WordPress 3.2.1 and Buddypress 1.2.9 then activate the plugin “Buddypress Activity Plus”. There is not the gallery as you and wpmudev talked about…
The pictures are uploaded one above the other and not side by side…
Thank you for your answer,
Mathieu
Mathieu did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same issue.
On my activity plus where is says “what’s new username?” there is one user of my site stuck in there. So no matter what account you are using it has that username inserted. Whats the deal?
sir
please what do i do to make the uploaded picture on the activity stream lay side by side, am using activity plus on my site. thanks.
best regards
uche
would it be possible to add coding for Nico Nico Douga embeds in your next build please?
how to add all the media under a media tab??
Buddypress activity plugin stacking up your images instead of showing them side by side?
Look no further. I have spent hours testing other hacks and none of them have worked. Here’s how to fix it:

Cheers Uma, that works a treat!
