The bad thing about this in my opinion is that a more or less innocent multisite network was closed. I could make an intense debate about the liberty of free speech versus allowing inappropriate content on the web. I like the liberty of free speech but i don’t want to expose my children to bad content (racial, jihad, pedophiles and other stuff). The software you are speaking about seems ok and a word press multisite is on my list of future projects (probably for the next year).

Sara – I’m using WP-Firewall on my WPMS and Buddypress installed site + “Linux firewall + port monitoring” on my server + Akismet + WP-hash and some htaccess “bot and spam-blocker” codes,Is it enough for protecting my website?
Sepehr – I don’t know. Are you getting a lot of splogs? That’s how you can tell. ;) If you offer free blogs and you have too many to monitor, then you may want to look into some plugins to help you monitor the content for keywords that might be indicators of content that you don’t want to be hosting.
