Responsive: A Simple Free WordPress Theme with Tons of Extras

People are glued to their tablets and mobile phones and if they cannot access your site on the go, you’re not likely to win them back for another visit. Are you ready to update your WordPress site to be compatible with mobile devices? You need a responsive WordPress theme.

Responsive is a clean, adaptive theme that you can use as a base for customizing your website. It’s a new simple WordPress theme that just passed the rigorous standards of the WordPress Theme Directory and yours to pick up for free.

Responsive features:

  • Responsive: Crafted with fluid proportion-based grid system of our own to adapt the design to the viewing environment
  • 9 widget areas
  • Theme Options to control the content, webaster tools, logo managament and social icons

One of the most notable features of this free responsive WordPress theme is the fact that it comes with nine page templates to help you creatively layout your content.

9 Page Templates:

  • Blog (full posts)
  • Blog Summaries
  • Content/Sidebar
  • Sidebar/Content
  • Content/Sidebar Half
  • Sidebar/Content Half
  • Full Width Page
  • Landing Page (in case that you don’t want anything else but the clean white design and your logo)
  • Sitemap Template

If nine page templates weren’t enough, this theme also comes with four navigation menus. One custom menu is at very top, the second is built into the header, the third falls just after the header, and the fourth one is down in footer area.

  1. Hi Sarah,

I just wanted to add to your mention of support for Responsive Theme. They have the one of the best support teams I’ve ever come across. I’ve seen forums where you have to pay to get an answer and the answers are more like “let me know when you’ve actually tried to figure this out on your own.” Not the guys at ThemeID. They answer questions in a ridiculously timely manner (even though I think they all have “day jobs”), and regardless of the type of question asked, they are always friendly, respectful, and willing to help. And their ID and Class names aren’t cryptic or weird, so it’s easy to customize everything.

No, I don’t work for them and I’m not affiliated with them. I just happened to have had a really wonderful experience there. :)
