Instagram galleries and widgets are no longer just for individual bloggers who want to display their recent photo feeds. Companies and organizations are now utilizing the service as another way to connect with their fans and followers. As a web developer I am often asked to add Instagram feeds to company websites. Fortunately, there are a lot of great WordPress Instagram plugins out there that make this an easy task. Today I’d like to highlight one that stands head and shoulders above the others in terms of customizing the display.

Add Instagram Badges to WordPress

Last week Instagram introduced their new badges feature that gives you the ability to promote your Instagram profile on your website.

Instagram Badges is a very simple WordPress plugin that includes a widget you can drop into your sidebar to display your Instagram badge. The badge links to your Instagram profile so that you visitors can easily see your photos and follow you on Instagram.

The Instagram WordPress widget includes several badge sizes from tiny to large. Add a username and a title and you’re good to go.

Automatically Post Instagram Photos to WordPress

The new Instagrate plugin is one of the most complete solutions for integrating your Instagram account with WordPress. It gives you the ability to set up automatic posting of new images into blog posts.

Here’s how it works:
Install the plugin. Log in to Instagram, pick your default WordPress post settings, and you are done. Take a photo or lots on Instagram. The next time someone visits your site, a new post will be created with each photo you take with Instagram.

Display Your Instagram Photos as a Gallery with WordPress

Instagram fans will love the new Instagram Gallery Widget for WordPress. It gives you the ability to display your Instagr.am pictures in a simple and elegant gallery, as pictured here.

There are a few other Instagram plugins out there already, but the Instagram Gallery Widget has far more features than most of the others. The only other comparable plugin would be InstaPress.
