Following yesterday’s name change from Multi User to Multi Site the edits have been flowing thick and fast, the latest being another semantic switch from ’site admin’ to ’super admin’.

The countdown continues with plugin number 95… the blogs directory plugin.
This one is a direct relation of the members list plugin and operates in a very similar way… except this time for blogs.

Just in time for Valentines day, BuddyPress 1.0 is scheduled for release on Feb 12th (according to this wordpress.tv post and video, video also below).
Here’s the biggie though… are you planning on using it?

As I browsed through the competition plugins here on wpmu.org, I noticed that several of them were strictly administration plugins.  Meaning all of the actions were strictly used once a user is logged in and within the administration menu.
Yet on the installations they were still being placed in the mu-plugins folder.

Bret has announced that he is working on a RPM package to include WordPress MU as an optional package in Fedora Core 10. This may lead to it being included in CentOS down the road as well.

So, as WP 2.6.1 has been released we should probably see a fair bit of ‘trac action’ and WPMU 2.6.1 on the way soon too.
