Some brief, but good, news for y’all – we’ve upgraded the BuddyPress calendar plugin to be able to show a global list of upcoming events from all public groups!
So now, as well as allowing individual groups to have their own shared calendar… you can also display (wherever you like) upcoming global events!
The new functionality essentially adds a global events widget that you can place on any blog. It displays a list of upcoming events from all public groups, with the group name and a link to the event. You can choose how many events to display.

Don’t you have to pay $79 a month for that download site? I can’t afford that for my little site. :(
Actually if you go annually its more like $35 p/month.
