One of our big hits over at WPMU DEV Premium has been the Edublogs homepage theme, which, unsurprisingly, looks rather like the theme on the front of Edublogs.org :)

Well, we decided to make what we were offering even more attractive and today have released version 2.0 of the theme – which makes it super easy for anyone to use and customize it – without having to hack a single file.

And also introduces all those cool 2.8.x features – like nested comments, caption styling and all that jazz :)

So, what can you do with it now… well, there’s:

  • Customize the category to appear on the front
  • Add social bookmarking tools automatically
  • Upload and customize the header and header text
  • Change all your fonts
  • Change all your colors
  • Grab tabbed RSS feeds
  • And more!

Want to take a look at just one of the options pages, click on the image that comes with this post.

And, alongside that, it’s incredibly easy to change the featured images, just upload, crop and add text – see below:

So, it’s now easier than ever top have a cracking homepage for your WPMU site – without knowing a line of code :)

  1. Hi,

Im sorry for the newbie question. Would the Edublogs Home Page Theme work with Buddy Press?

    Thank you.

  2. I’m afraid not – it’s a WPMU / WP theme only.

HOWEVER, we have some amazing new BuddyPress themes coming to WPMU DEV Premium next week… so watch this space :)

  3. Thanks James,

    Look foward to seeing them.

    Pete
