One-Click Installer for WP
This add-on installs plugins or themes on your self-hosted WordPress blogs with a single click. It adds a new entry to the popup context menu for links to .zip files. Clicking the new menu item will install the plugin or theme file on the WP blog and the file type – plugin vs. theme – is detected automatically. This extension works in combination with the plugin listed below.

This plugin works with the One-Click Installer for WP add-on. If the plugin that needs to be updated is active, it is deactivated. The Plugin Updater retrieves the plugin’s page from WordPress.org and finds the download link.The new version is downloaded and extracted to the wp-content/plugins directory. If necessary, the updated plugin is re-activated.

Tools like Zemata can help newbie bloggers like myself who haven’t traditional thought of themselves as “writers”.
I lady at a recent presentation that I gave asked, “What content can possibly add to the Internet that is not already there?”
On the spot, I could only come up with pictures of dogs and pet tips since she was a dog walker but tools like this help empower us to give our own two cents and provide a lense of “knowledge” or perspective in a world of overwhelming info.

Well, I have been using wordpress for a gazillion years now.
I am a developer who has contributed few minor plugins to wordpress. I once had to use WordPress Helper, modify it to a certain extent. Unlike other plugins it was so unpleasant! I hope the code has kept up with wordpress’ api improvement/development!
