WordPress MU Sitemaps (with added SEO!)

October 31, 2008  |

Been a bit quiet around here since the plugin contest, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to briefly bring to your attention this rather cool new WPMU DEV Premium plugin pack we’ve just brought out:

Sitemaps and SEO – WordPress MU Style

It’s two plugins, the first one – simple-sitemaps – basically automatically creates sitemaps for all of your blogs and then submits them to Google… not bad huh.

The second, is a highly modified version of the famous All in One SEO so that it a. works with all blogs automatically b. doesn’t bother users with options and c. automatically inserts dynamic descriptions and keywords into your source based on the contents of posts / pages and tags.

Not bad huh :)

If you’re not a Premium member already… get the boss to pay :) A yearly subscription works out at about $20 per month… and we’re releasing cool new stuff like this all the time.

Even better (and themes too!) to come for Christmas. You can join here.

  2. Cool!!! So regarding the All in One SEO plugin. Can advanced users still take control and add their own descriptions and keywords.

Also what is the best Cache plugin to use. We “had” problems with Super Cache but maybe its better now?

  3. I’m afraid the aim is to keep it as simple as possible, so that users don’t see any options at all.

However, I don’t think you’d find it to hard to add that back in.

Super Cache definitely wins.. but not for WSA.

  4. It would be cool if you guys (or somebody) made that an option they could toggle on or off. So what is WSA? (…my bad)

  5. Sorry – Who Sees Ads

We’ll be adding detailed bits as we go on, at the moment it’s all about simplicity :)

  6. Interesting. I don’t think we’ll use Super Cache until there is support for WSA. However it mustnt be too hard to fix because WordPress.Com must use it?

  7. This is a really super plugin, James – kudos :)

  8. nice! I will definitely check this plugin.

    Cheers,

    G.
