Are there any plans to update and add new features to the Magazine theme? I’m looking to join (mostly for the magazine theme and support) and it would be awesome if it got a slight upgrade.
Hi Erik, What specifically would you be looking at with regards to an update to Magazine? We will be updating it for wordpress 3.0 and for post thumbnails along with we’ve done some navigation changes to make it use the newer buddypress 1.2+ navigation bar – beyond that what changes were you thinking you’d like to see? Or was it you just wanted to know it was going to be included in the update? If so yep it is :)

What plugin is needed to allow users to create their own blog on wordpress 3.0, kind of like wordpress.com? Does the plugins above answer this question? thanks
@Sal: Erm there is no plugin that is now built into WordPress’s core it was in WordPress Mu now it’s WordPress multi-site but that’s just a name for a built in function of wordpress. Not sure what ‘does the plugins above answer this question’ means if you could elaborate please. BuddyPress brings social functions to your blog and works for WordPress and / or multi-site.
