Yes, it’s like featurific but the difference is featurific is a hardcoded & flash based plugin where featplug is not hardcoded on any flash.
It can just use flash as-well but with the template support, customization is quite easy
Does it also shrink images to fix or only enlarge them? It never seems to find any suitable images on my site and just sits in the “loading” screen.
Franks, yes it does shrink & enlarges images. Try lowering the output dimensions. Can you please post the code you use or if you’re running it from widget.

This plugin is REALLY nice! Is there a way to have it run in WPMU on the “main” blog, while displaying/featuring posts in the user’s blogs elsewhere on the WPMU site?

Hi i’ve released the version 0.62, which now does have NATIVE wordpress-mu support which you can put the plugin on your MU’s main page and the plugin will find the featured content from “latest updated MU blogs”.

Yes, open up templates/smoothgallery/header.php and find the line:
timed: true,delay: 5000
Change the value as you need there.

Last question: Is there an option to assign a default image if the plugin doesn’t find one in a post (when a post doesn’t have any images in it).
I would like to use the plugin to ALWAYS display my last 5 posts (even if the post doesn’t have a image in it). Currently, by design (I suppose), the plugin doesn’t include post in the slideshow if the post doesn’t have an image.
(Technically, I can get around quirk by adding a 1 pixel transparent gif at the beginning of a post)… and theoretically, the plugin will resize that image to whatever dimension I want… if I set image resizing to “true”, hence no posts will ever be skipped. I was hoping there was an easier way via the plugin settings?)
Hi again, yes right now there is no support for a default image. Adding it todo list now. But you can just hack the engine.php and function add_item($i) to do it.

Is there any way to show content of one category only on WPMU. Plugin is great and works fine but it’s showing images from all posts no matter which category they belong to.

Hi I’ve been tring to get this plugin to work for ages but no luck… i am using it on MU but what ever combination of the direct call i use it pulls old posts from my sub blogs and non from the main one!

Using big images in size is the key for non-pixelation
