There’s been a heap of time gone into these, and I can’t tell you how happy I am to be releasing our first BuddyPress themes.

Yep, I said themes, because there are three of them… each with it’s own delights and each which I reckon you’re going to love.

BuddyPress Community Theme

This is a Ning-inspired theme that’s packed to the rafters with customization options and goodies you won’t even begin to appreciate until you start using it.

BuddyPress Corporate Theme

Not only is this theme downright swish and stylish, but it also includes a range of very delightful customization options.

To switch the color and look and feel of the theme, simply visit the theme options and choose!

BuddyPress Fun Theme

And last, but definitely not least, we’ve got a fun inspired theme that takes a different approach altogether.

So hey, you can check them (and a heap of other themes too) out at our WordPress MU Themes page.

  1. Thanks, I can’t wait to test them.

Have you thought of creating a “Showcase Group” where users can show their work?

  2. Great looking Themes.

    Are there any working demos?

  3. Thanks guys.

We’ll have a demo site up showcasing all these themes / other premium plugins too at some point in the not too distant future :)

In the meantime each comes with a stack of screenshots if you click on the tab.

  4. Corporate theme is not compatible with Chrome browser. I have not tested the others. Also, there is no way to remove the Blog/News widget from home. I have tried this in all 3 themes.

  5. Weird, just tested it again and looks OK in Chrome now. But there is still no way to remove the News widget from the left column on home theme.

  6. The preview images for the community theme dont seem to work.

Also, are there any plans for matching forum themes?

    thanks

    Matt

  7. Thanx for the heads up, will fix that now.

Yeh, I’m sure we could do matching bbpress themes…. although to be honest with you, demand for bbpress theme design isn’t all that high, so it might get shunted down the timeline a bit.

  8. Cool, thanks.

I am a bit confused about the bbpress thing though. A forum is the mainstay of the social network. Without a forum, it all seems a little flat.

I am not commenting on you, per se, but bbpress development in general has lagged behind buddypress, at least the integration part.

Anyway, thanks and I hope to check out the themes soon. They look great.

  9. I think we’d all agree about bbpress development, but that’s Automattic’s prerogative.

Still, we’ll aim to have bbpress themes out to match these – the same way we have the edublogs bbpress theme available (and the new edublogs theme release is super customizable too):

I mention it because, if you’re looking for an integrated theme to build off, it might be a good place to start.

  10. haha, I know, but I had to vent anyway.

Thanks for pointing that bbpress theme out. I knew I had seen one here somewhere.

I will definitely check it out.

    Thanks James.

  11. They are good but i am looking for some awesome themes can someone share resources from where i can download BP themes.

  12. Pingback: BarCamp Melbourne has a WordCamp | The Aggregator

  13. Do the BuddyPress themes follow the parent-child structure started with 1.1? I’d like to purchase a professional theme, but want something forward-looking.

  14. They’ll be 1.1.1 ready by the end of next week.

  15. Is there anywhere to get this theme without joining as a member? I want to use this theme but so sad that i don’t really have money to subcript as a member. :(

  16. “each with it’s own delights”

should be “its own” (“it’s” = “it is”).

Nitpick, yes, but the computer is picky about your code too.

    Thanks!
